Need reminding!

My noodle is almost fried! Getting close to completing the new Sleepless ink website, but not lighting any cigars just yet. It’s taken an unforeseen effort and diverted my time away from why I’m actually making the site – for my photography and artwork. To keep the cogs turning and a fuse not popping, I reviewed a couple of collage pieces from the drawers, just a quick reminder of how much I enjoy the process and to spur on a surge to the finish line. Soon music will be on and paper, paints, inks, glues, pens and pencils will be scattered over the worktop, with a view to corral them into a finished piece.

It’s not all been confinement to the studio and computer, a journey to the south coast to visit family provided a welcome break. From coast to coast! Not quite New York to L.A, more Newquay to Worthing, but not without their own set of contrasts. The Atlantic Ocean meeting the exposed north Cornish coast to the pebbles, promenades, piers and distant offshore wind farms of the English Channel. A drive allows them all to be seen in one day, even with the short daylight hours of winter.

1) A cold day with good waves at Fistral Beach, Newquay.

2) Wooden beach groynes on the south coast.

Looking east to Brighton at low tide.
